Air Duct Cleaning · Oswego, IL

Air duct cleaning in Oswego

Your ductwork moves the same air through your home over and over. When it is loaded with construction dust, pet dander, and years of debris, every cycle redistributes it. We clean supply and return runs properly, at a price that is posted rather than negotiated.

What it is

Whole-system cleaning, not a vacuum at the vent

Air duct cleaning means clearing the supply trunk and branches, the return runs, and the registers — the full loop your air travels. The version to avoid is the one where someone runs a shop vacuum a foot into each register, calls it done, and charges you for a system clean. That removes visible dust at the opening and nothing else.

Our process uses a negative-air machine connected to the trunk line to put the whole system under suction, then agitates each run with rotating brushes and compressed-air whips so dislodged debris travels to the collection unit rather than into your rooms. Registers come off and get cleaned individually. We finish by checking the blower compartment and the filter, because a clean duct feeding through a clogged filter is half a job.

When duct cleaning genuinely helps

We would rather tell you honestly when it is worth it than sell it to everyone. It is clearly worthwhile when:

  • You have had renovation or construction work done. Drywall dust is fine, abrasive, and gets everywhere in a duct system.
  • You just moved into a home and do not know its history, particularly if previous owners had pets or smoked.
  • There is visible debris blowing from registers, or dust reappears immediately after cleaning surfaces.
  • Someone in the home has allergies or asthma that worsen when the system runs.
  • You see evidence of rodents or insects in the ductwork, or there is a persistent musty odor.

If your system is simply a few years old with a decent filter and no symptoms, we will say so. Duct cleaning is not an annual necessity for every home, and we are not going to pretend otherwise.

Why it is separate from dryer vent work

Air ducts circulate conditioned air through your living space. A dryer vent is a single dedicated exhaust line carrying hot, moist, lint-laden air outdoors. Different equipment, different risk profile, different service — though plenty of customers book both in one visit, which saves a trip charge.

Straightforward pricing

See our pricing page for the starting price; what moves it is system size: the count of supply and return runs, whether you have more than one furnace or air handler, and access difficulty. We confirm the total before we start, and there is no upsell script — you will not get a call from a technician mid-job telling you it will actually be triple. Full details sit on our pricing page.

We serve Oswego, Aurora, Naperville, and the wider Fox Valley, 7 days a week.

Air duct cleaning questions

How much does air duct cleaning cost?
See our pricing page for the starting price. The final price depends on the number of supply and return runs, how many systems you have, and access. We confirm before starting.
How often do ducts need cleaning?
There is no fixed schedule for every home. Clean after renovations, when moving in, or when there are visible or symptomatic reasons — not simply because a year has passed.
Will it help my allergies?
It can reduce circulating dust and dander, which some households notice. It is not a medical treatment and we will not promise symptom relief.
How long does it take?
Typically two to four hours for an average home, longer for large or multi-system properties.
Will it make a mess?
No. The system runs under negative pressure so debris travels into the collection unit rather than into your rooms.
Do you use chemicals or foggers?
Not as standard. Mechanical cleaning is the effective part. We do not apply sanitizing chemicals unless you specifically request it and it is appropriate.
Should I replace my filter afterward?
Yes, and we will point out the correct size and rating. A clean duct feeding a clogged filter undoes much of the benefit.
Can you do ducts and my chimney the same day?
Yes, and that is common. Booking together saves a second visit and we coordinate the timing with you.
